Koala (3 Years +)

The Koala is a tree dwelling, plant eating marsupial (with a pouch forraising their young) native to Australia. Its closest living relatives arethe wombats. The Koala's paws are specially adapted for gripping andclimbing. Very correctly, on the CollectA model there is no claw on thebiggest digit on the hind paw, which is opposable to the others forgripping. Also, nicely carved out with this CollectA figurine and one ofthe easiest ways to identify the sex of a Koala is to look for the darkbrown scent gland which is located in the centre of the white chests ofmature, breeding males. Females and young pre-breeding males have a plainwhite chest.
