⁠The Mark Makers® range is an early writing programme that encourages every child to make their mark. Aimed at children from 5 months upwards, the range simplifies writing skills through making basic marks. These marks make up letters of the alphabet - as well as numbers and shapes. Four characters proudly display each specific mark through their design shape and colour- Lionel, Archie, Ziggy and Swirlo.

The fun activities in this book were designed by a qualified Early Years teacher so that Mark Making
- the essential skill that leads to writing - could be encouraged in the home.
Children will love exploring these educational ideas through messy play and Mark Making - alongside developing their key motor skills, including pencil grip.
Through repetition, they will start to recognise and re-create Soldier, Rainbow, Magic and Monster Marks - represented by the lovable Mark Maker characters. These marks are the building blocks for letters, numbers, shapes and patterns.
Educationalist Rachel Fay created this award-winning pre-writing programme and developed classes where children aged 5 months to 5 years are encouraged to make their mark through play.
