Manufactured in Japan since the early 1950's and still in production today, Yamaha's U series upright has become the instrument against which all other uprights are compared, and a reconditioned example is a superb value way of owning one of these beautifully built instruments.This example of the Yamaha U1H was manufactured in c.1972 and reconditioned some 5 years ago, having been privately owned since and recently part exchanged. As part of its reconditioning, all the perishable parts have been replaced and a soft-closing fallboard mechanism installed, making it an ideal choice for the home or school practice room.With a responsive, medium weight touch and a well balanced tone, this previously reconditioned U1 is worth comparing against our range new Yamaha b series uprights and Certified Reconditioned Yamaha U1 uprights.
