Each instrument is carved by hand in the MMX workshop to exacting standards and given an in-depth set-up by our UK luthier who has been working with MMX instruments for over a decade. Each cello has a spruce top with a two-piece maple back and sides. The body is finished with an oil varnish to provide protection and an attractive sheen whilst allowing the natural qualities of the wood to show through. It is furnished with ebony fittings and an integrated tailpiece.
