Introducing the Percussion Play handpipesThese handpipes are inclusive and tactile percussion instruments, perfect for all ages and abilities. Designed, as the name suggests, to be played with the hands to create a funky sound, they are ideal for outdoor play spaces due to their sturdiness and inclusivity-oriented design.By slapping the top of these pipes with your hand, you can create a variety of funky, plosive, staccato sounds. The pipes are tuned and arranged diatonically, allowing for access to hundreds of tunes and providing the opportunity to improvise alone or in groups.Robust construction for outdoor useA high-density polyethylene (HDPE) mounting sets and aligns the instrument perfectly, so once installed all that’s left to do is play! There are no beaters or mallets, as you need nothing but your own hands to make great use of these exciting instruments.Surface mounted vs Ground installThere are two ways to install this Percussion Play product:Surface mountedThe leg is attached to a base plate, which is then fixed into the ground using anchors. This provides a brilliant level of stability, whilst making it possible to move the product around with relative ease.Ground installThe leg is directly embedded into the ground, providing excellent, long-lasting stability.
