traditional designThe Conservatoire is made with solid tonewoods and has a carved spruce front and finely carved flamed maple back and ribs finished in Stentor's Shellaxâ„¢ varnish which has been developed over many years. With ebony fittings and traditional inlaid purfling, this responsive instrument is a high quality outfit often recommended for its sound. The composite tail piece is metal with gold coloured screw integral adjusters and the viola has a Teka pattern chin rest fitted. Additionally, this instrument is fitted with a higher-grade string than the Stentor student I and II, incorporating synthetic gut strings which can vastly improve the tonal qualities of the instrument.Additional featuresThe outfit is supplied with a selected wood bow with natural white horsehair and full mounted ebony frog.
